Running with the ball - How to Master

HOW TO MASTER THE TECHNIQUE AND SCORE HIGHLY ON THE TEST.

Organisation

A group of 6 players in two groups of three, 40 yards apart. A begins by running the ball before passing to D. A joins the line behind F, D runs the ball, passes to B and joins the line behind C.

Running with the ball

DO

1. Make your first touch of the ball well in front of you to allow you to look up. To cover the ground quickly take a few long touches. When running with the ball, touch the ball well in front of you to enable you to look up. The more times you touch the ball the slower you will run.

2. Run straight and if possible pass with your laces without interrupting your normal stride. If you have to pass then avoid passing with the side of your foot - this will slow you down.
